Abstract
Macrobrachium latidactylus merupakan salah satu spesies udang air tawar dari famili Palaemonidae yang penyebarannya di Indonesia terbatas di bagian timur Indonesia, yaitu pulau-pulau Sunda kecil, Papua, Sulawesi dan Maluku. Spesies ini pertama kali dideskripsi menggunakan spesimen dari Sulawesi pada tahun 1891. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kembali M. latidactylus berdasarkan spesimen yang dikoleksi dari Sungai Gililana, Morowali Utara, Sulawesi, Indonesia. Koleksi sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan penangkapan spesimen menggunakan hand net, kemudian sampel disimpan di Laboratorium Zoologi, Jurusan Biologi, Universitas Tadulako, Palu, Indonesia. Dalam tulisan ini M. latidactylus dibuat diagnose kembali dan dilengkapi dengan ilustrasi menggunakan line drawing.
