Publication Ethics
Journal of Geophysics Tadulako is a peer-reviewed publication published by Tadulako University’s Geophysical Engineering Study Program. This publication, accessible online and in print, upholds the publication ethic and forgoes plagiarism. This statement outlines the ethical conduct expected of all parties involved in publishing an article in this journal, including the publisher, Geophysical Engineering Study Program, Tadulako University, the author, the chief editor, the editorial board, and the peer reviewers. The COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors are the foundation for this assertion.
Journal Publication Ethics Guideline. Submitting an article to Jurnal Geofisika Tadulako’s peer-reviewed journal is a crucial first step toward creating a credible and cohesive knowledge network. It accurately represents the calibre of the writers’ and the organizations’ supporting efforts. The scientific method is supported and embodied in peer-reviewed literature. Therefore, it’s critical to establish guidelines for acceptable ethical behaviour for the following parties: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher, and the publishing society.
Publication Decisions. Selecting which of the articles submitted to the Journal of Applied Geoscience and Engineering will be published is the editor’s responsibility. Such choices must always be based on the validity of the work in question and its significance to readers and scholars. The journal’s editorial board regulations and any applicable laws about plagiarism, libel, and copyright infringement may serve as guidelines for the editors at that time. The editors might consult with additional editors or reviewers when deciding on this choice.
Just Play. The editor may assess manuscripts for their intellectual merits without considering the writers' political philosophies, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or place of birth.
Keep Things Private. Any information on a submitted article may only be shared by the editor and any editorial staff with the associated author, reviewers or potential reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher, as applicable.
Conflicts of Interest and Disclosure. Without the author’s express written authorization, an editor may not use unpublished materials described in a submitted manuscript in their own research.
