The Jurnal Matematika dan Terapan employs a policy of conducting a double-blind review process when reviewing articles for publication. The Jurnal Ilmiah Matematika dan Terapan is published twice a year. The first edition is released in June, and the second edition is published in December. Each edition contains 10-12 articles and is consistently released according to the schedule. The time it takes for a decision from the assignment of an article, through the review process, until it is declared ready for publication is typically a maximum of 24 weeks.

The Jurnal Ilmiah Matematika dan Terapan founded in April 2009 and used the Indonesian language until 2023. Starting from 2024 (Volume 21, Issue 1) and onwards, all published articles will be entirely in English.
